French Dinky produced this operating model garage back in the 1950s. Shown here with a French Dinky Renault Dauphine. The door would open with a push of the chimney using a rubber band assisted mechanism inside and the entry ramp would simultaneously tilt taking the car in or out. Clever.
And how many of the OLD time Dinky collectors have one of these in their files? This one dated September 1957!
Which came with this 16mm lapel pin carefully preserved for 66 years!

How cool! As a kid, I loved toy garages; they were rare too. Never saw this one.
It has been years since I last saw that garage John. Wish I had it along with the Dinky Toys club memorabilia. Thanks for sharing these.
Signed by Roland Hornby, the son! He took over Meccano after his Dad, Frank, passed away.
I have the other garage but I was never aware of this one. Very cool. Tomorrow I'm going to post a pic of my rarest Dinky Toy.
@karl My mistake; I was thinking of the yellow Accessory Pack Matchbox A-3 Metal Lock Up Garage. My MBox and Dinky collections are in storage at present.
