Does anyone have the Motorcity 1953 Chevrolet Good Humor truck? What is your overall opinion of the model ie: build quality and level of detail.Thanks.

Don't have it, mine is a Road Champs, comes with a white uniformed man and opening ice cream compartment. All quite nicely done and scale accurate.

The Road champs is a great model.
Has more features than MOC and for sure is priced for every one.

Motor City Chevrolet Good Humor truck........
What would you like to know. Mine is USA-45
I just went over to my showcase to look at the model. I don't know what you have to pay for it, but whatever it is, it is worth the price.
First it must weight about 3 pounds or more.
It is a 1948 thru 1953 Chevrolet 1/2 ton truck. It has a flawless paint finish, in White, with Black wheels. It has a front bumper guard, twin rearview mirrors, doors on the body side, front and rear, with hinges, bells over the windshield, a striped awning over the driver (that is removable), a table in the front compartment, very sharp decals, Good Humor on the side, plus Special, Coffee Ice Cream along the roof, and on the side of the front compartment, Toasted Chocolate Ice Cream.
Very typical of Motor City workmanship, as good as the cars. That about covers it. Mine is a keeper.

Yes, I have the 1953 Chevrolet Good Humor Truck:
it's truly a great quality rarity and I would not let it go for anything in the world! Can't imagine how it could be any greater especially for a summer diarama!

Never knew it existed. Quite rare and unique. I think it's going on my wish list.

I never heard if there was a more fully detailed Motor City version, as USA models were one of their sub-tier brands. I posted this last summer on Greg Gunn's Motor City FB page, and strangely even recently "likes" have shown up.
