John Ellis has been weaving his magic again, this time on BRK147 1952 Cadillac Series 62 Four Door Coupe. It has been refinished in Burnt Cooper over Driftwood as per BRK219x 1954 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special. The same colour scheme was applied to the '52 models it appears. I think John has made another fine conversion here.

Mike this color scheme looks great on both the 54 and the 52. Beautiful work.

Beautiful job done.  I wasn't aware that this color combo was used in 1952 as well.

Mike, I have a question about the work of John Ellis, and maybe you know the answer.  To do this refinishing does John take the model completely apart, including all the plated parts and windows, or does he mask the plated parts and windows leaving them attached to the body?  I assume he separates the chassis from the body.

Yes he does strip the models down completely Ed, and then gives them several light coats of aerosol. After about 6-8 weeks he then gets to work on perfecting the paint and et voila, you get a perfectly executed repaint and unique model. John is very thorough and extremely patient with his conversions, and in my opinion, one of the best in the business.

John did research this Jack and as he preferred to '52 to the '54 Cadillac, but liked the '54's colour scheme, it was a given that he would do the conversion.
