This one arrived Saturday:

I liked the story, I appreciate the classic era of American cars, but this one had some small deficiencies.

So it's now on its way back to the good dealer.

By the way, here are a couple of poor copies of the work of the owner/artist for whom this Duesenberg was originally built:

Wow, that's a magnificent car and model ! Hopefully you will get the problem sorted out with this one and have a keeper.

I have this model along with a 1/24 scale. Always thought the story behind the car was interesting.

Larry, the assembly did not meet the level that I expect from a hundred dollar model.  David H

Good review of the Esval Duesenberg, John, and I tend to agree with you.  That's why I bought it.  But the one I received just wasn't put together as carefully as I expected, and so it has been returned.  I'm still considering a replacement.   I always enjoy your video reviews.   Keep 'em coming!      David H

@d-m-holcombe, I hope it works out for you. It's a great model, well worth the price. But, our little babies can be fragile! I've had several show up with shipping damage even though they were well packed. They went back as well.
