My wife had back surgery recently (it turned out very well!) so we've had a number of visitors come to the house lately. I took several of them (not "car people") up to the "car room" to show my collection. The one model in particular that drew the most positive attention and favorable comments is this one:

I suppose the overall "presence" and especially the color combo is what makes it so appealing to the casual observer!

It is an all-time beauty in real life and in any scale as a model ! The color combo here is striking and this is a 1/43 replica that is a real  knockout. I have a diecast in 1/18 but not yet in this size.

The 1953 Buick Skylark is one of my all time favorite cars and looks great in any color. Thanks for sharing Barry.

This version stands out because of the striking color combo and the gold trim, even though it's not representative of anything that Buick ever built. I can see why a non-car person, especially, would be drawn to it in a collection of a wide variety of models.
