For Mercedes-Benz fans, a long awaited Minichamps model.

It's the 1935 limousine built for the Emperor of Japan. A Belgian model shop has it on their Website for late February delivery which means it may show up in the USA in April or May.

Who made this before Dick? I seem to remember it in diecast.

Or perhaps it was a larger scale plastic kit?? Memory has failed (again!)

There was a 1:24 version from one of the "mints", I think Franklin.

Actually Jo Ann bought one for me one Christmas not knowing that I was switching to 1:43's, so it went back.

Actually Paul's Model Art did a 1:24 first, then one of the mints, and I think they used the same tooling though there were some differences.

Thanks, Arie, did not know which came first.
