For those who enjoy dioramas (and especially for those who like to think BIG, American-style) you might enjoy this thread from a French model forum.
You can ignore the out-of-focus French village scenes at the beginning, and the bits of French text, and just keep scrolling ... and scrolling ... and scrolling! Detailing is not always the subtlest, but certainly ambitious in scale.
Strangely enough, the thread ends with copies of photos of the Neo '57 Dodge which I posted on Forum 43 a while back. Purely coincidental, and none of my doing, but they are credited.

Impressive simply by sheer numbers.

Tremendous number of shots, Graeme, and most impressive was the number of different models. But two things came to me: the scarcity of people, even though I saw a few; and the cleanliness of the whole thing. Does trash never come in 1:43 scale? I enjoyed, and I thank you for the link.
Spectacular. Well worth the visit. this person must have a very large space
No trash and no dust, too! Can you imagine the size of some of those potential dust bunnies!
Just by the way ...
Someone on the thread asked for some details about making the layout. The reply was as follows:
The city project (and the collection) has been built up gradually over about 15 years.
Total area is quoted as 15-20 square metres (about 200 to 250 square feet).
Constructing a small building takes 5-6 days, a large one about 15-20 days. Not sure if that includes adding signage, window displays, etc.
Streets are build on a series of 1 metre square cards. Road markings are cut from thin white card, with 2 or 3 city blocks taking about a day to mark out.
Also by the way - anyone recognise the red car nearest the camera here? Almost looks like the Neo '71 Imperial that's had its roof repainted and foil trim added, but I'm sure it can't be?

I believe it is a 43rd Avenue 1970/71 Chrysler Newport. Originally released in all red metallic or all blue metallic. The trim and vinyl top were added.
Love the duplicate cars; it adds to the realism. Nice!
Wow, excellent stuff and fun to look at !
