For you '50s car fans, how many do we have in 1/43? -link
All of them?
AutoWeek or https://www.autoweek.com/car-life/classic-cars/g30534131/lost-to-time-features-from-the-50s-you-take-for-granted
Fine overview of those Fifties advancements. I think nearly all are available in some form as 1/43's.
I don't think anyone has done the 54 Ford.
Durham did the 54 Ford Courier sedan delivery and the 54 Thunderbird concept with Fairlane side trim, but that's it.
R and R cast 1/25 54 Skyliner in resin.
Joe, right. Durham also made some wagons at the end of their run. Oakland Models
Which today is a pretty obscure brand from the day may have made convertible and 2dr hardtops. I need to get out my copy of Jerry Rettig's American Wheels. If it was made, Jerry would know.
Fred Lewis made a one-off Skyliner based on the Durham...
That's all I know. 1954 Skyliner or https://www.hobbydb.com/marketplaces/hobbydb/catalog_items/1954-ford-skyliner
Oakland Models
Randall, John Dehanes made Oakland models. I have a 1954 Ford Convertible in Red, and a 1954 Ford Crestline Victoria in Black with a White top. I will try and photograph them in the future. I don't believe anyone else has done '54s.
Ray, is that the DeHanes who also made some 1:55 scale tractor trailers?
Nice, Karl. Fred does some impressive work. Who's Stroget?
John Dehanes trucks for Randy Olson info.
Randy, There is only one John Dehanes. The two 1954 Fords I mentioned in my last post, I believe are the only two cars he has made. The rest of his models are trucks, of all types, including many pieces of fire apparatus. I have approximately 175 Dehanes models. He has made more than this number. Scale is 1/55th and 1/43rd. Possibly some 1/48th. I can find out about that. The trucks are simply made, but have a really great look about them. I'll take some pictures.
Thanks, Ray. Hats off to the man for originating these fine models

1954 Fords
Hi Karl; I also made a 54 Convertible and a 54 Ranch Wagon from the Durham cargo van before they made their station wagon. I asked them to make the wagons after they seen mine. On the Skyliner I used a roof from Brooklyn's 51 Victoria and a trunk from a Vitesse 56 Ford. The convertible trunk also came from a Vitesse Ford. My father owned a 54 Ford Ranch Wagon colored maroon which is the color I painted it. I still have all three models.
