Franklin Mint 1:43 1907 Rolls-Royce The Silver Ghost AX201

Yesterday, Tony showed the 1/24 Franklin Mint version of this Rolls. Here is the scarcer 1/43 version.

Good one, David!  I haven't had mine down for a long time, and here it is.  It's still special!

Here's a Rolls Royce variation of the era that some may not remember.  I found it when returning my Silver Ghost to its parking spot.

Neo made a resin version of AX201 with finer detail but no working features. Note the correct AA badge atop the radiator. Seats are black vs. the FM's dark green, which seems to match the 1/1, but then black and very dark green can fool a camera, so I don't know which is correct here. But both are painted silver when polished aluminum would be more correct - what a BMF job that would be!

Have both the 1/43 and 1/24 scales from FM and think both are terrific.

All of those Rolls-Royce vehicles look very good. Models of Yesteryear from Matchbox also made a R-R from this era which was very nicely done.

@mikedetorrice  Good picture, too!  I'm thinking I have one of those somewhere.  Too late tonight to start the search.  Thanks for this good post.

At one time, I had all the FM 1907 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost including the 1/12 scale with all the working features including headlights. With the DM 1930 Cadillac Roadster and the Bauer Mercedes 500K, they were the centerpieces of my collection.

Thanks, David. Models of Yesteryear made some very nice diecast replicas and this Rolls-Royce is certainly among them.
