As I discovered the wide array of models that Brooklin offered, I was drawn to so many of the 30s models in their catalog. When I held and examined these models, I was even more drawn to the intricate style and the fine craftmanship that Brooklin achieved with each one. My list of wants grew quite rapidly as I learned of all the models they offered.
When I 1st saw the photos of Brooklin's 1937 Lincoln Model K, I knew these were going to move to the top of my list. I have long been a fan of the style of these large Lincolns and from the photos this looked like a wonderful model. The 1st one to join my collection was the LeBaron Convertible Sedan (more on that later) the 2nd was the Touring Sedan in Evergreen Poly (also more on that later too) The more elusive of these '37 Lincolns was the Touring Sedan in Royal Maroon, I tried several times to acquire it, but it just didn't work out. Finally, just a few weeks ago, I came across one at an online retailer and for less than the original retail-it was my lucky day. With the purchase made, I waited patiently (well maybe not too patiently) for it to arrive. When it did, it was a very beautiful model in a perfect color for the rounded, graceful lines of these big Lincolns. With this Model K, I now have five of them in my collection. The four standard releases and a very special one crafted by John Roberts (more on that later as well)

Don't you just love it when a piece of the puzzle falls in place? I have this model in dark green. I've said many times, Brooklin models of the cars of the thirties are absolutely fabulous.
That is one impressive car in 1/43. I can only imagine how impressive the 1:1 would be!

John, do the folks at Brooklin know you have such a large collection of their models? Maybe they should give you an extra discount on purchases.
