OK, now as much as I love the '57 Buick, the same goes for the '38 Cadillac. WOW, What a design! It really speaks to me, so as I often do with the car designs I admire, I collect as many as I can. With the addition of this model, I have 17 of them in my collection.
I had a savings certificate from Brooklin, so I decided to add another one of these and give it a different look with a set of black wall tires. Now I know this won't appeal to everyone, but I am very pleased with the way it looks.

Personally I really like the blackwalls on this car.
The black wall tires look more realistic back when this car was new. The white walls look more realistic when you see these cars today at various shows. Nice addition John.
That's a nice one too. I have it as well. David, I do have a '38 Cadillac in "restored show condition" as well. I just wanted one of each.

I’m with Bob,think the blackwalls give a much more realistic look to this gorgeous hunk of iron.👍🏻
What a great Cadillac. Looks just like the ones I saw in the 'Godfather' movies this past weekend.
And kudos to ShoTime for airing these movies uncut and with no commercials.
I'm not into 30's - 40's iron very much but I believe there were quite a few Packards in those movies too.
The '38 Cadillac is a beauty and I like it both with blackwalls and whitewalls.
The Godfather movies had several distinctive cars, including a few Packards as suggested by 100FORD203 above. Here's a good source:
