I've said before that the 1957 Buick is my favorite all time Buick. I love the style, but most likely the fondness is probably based on childhood memories. At one point when I was probably about 4 of 5, my family had four of them. My Dad kept ours until 1968 or so as a 2nd car, he had his the longest of the four. My Dad's car was a Special 4dr Sedan in Kearney Green.
Anyway, I am very partial to the models of the '57 Buick, especially those in white metal. I do have one Caballero Wagon from NEO, unfortunately it is a bit small in scale. So with that, I haven't added any others from NEO. I am still looking for a Caballero Wagon by Conquest (I've only seen one)
Here's my collection from Conquest Models...
1st the Buick Century - a Riviera Hardtop Coupe in Dresden Blue & Biscay Blue - Convertibles in Garnet Red & Shell Beige - Antique Ivory
My Roadmaster 75 Riviera Hardtop Sedans - A Silver Blue & Bright White - Light Copper - Garnet Red - Dover White
And here they all are together...
I acquired all the Century models new from Route 66 Models. The Roadmaster 75s have come to me via eBay. The Light Blue/White & Copper versions came to me as basket cases. They both required a complete cleaning, some minimal paint work & new whitewalls. Thankfully, they were complete and came together nicely. The Garnet Red version was complete & appears to be the newest of the four. It did not travel well, the packing could have been better and required some parts put back in place. The white version appears to be the oldest as the script is not as defined as the others. It too was in sad shape, needing deep cleaning and reassembly. It needed new tires badly, so I took the liberty of adding a set of black walls to give it a different attitude.
This evening, I placed an order from Buz for the Century Hardtop in two-tone green, so as long it is in stock, I'll have it in a week or so. Uh-oh, that means a whole new photo-set. LOL!

John, thank you for sharing the pride of your collection, and your feelings for this line of Buicks is evident. They look great!

Very nice collection John. I never realized that the roof on the '57 Buick Roadmaster 4 doors would become the same used on the '58 Impalas.
Very nice collection of Buicks John. I have the ivory convertible, 2-tone blue HT and the NEO caballero.
John, I share your fondness for the 57 Buicks and the models. I have most of the same models as you along with the Conquest Caballero wagon.
John,
I have always enjoyed seeing photos of your models, admiring both the models and photography. You have an impressive collection of both 1/43 and 1/24 model cars. There is one thing I have wondered; how many models do you have in these two scales?

Well Ed, I do have a few. In 1:43, I have almost 1600. In 1:24, I have almost 1100. You didn't ask but I also have almost 200 1:18 and just over 1200 1:64.

Thanks for sharing. That is an impressive collection. My collection is tiny compared to yours. I have 32 in 1/43 (soon to be 34 with a couple I pre-ordered from Buz), one in 1/24, two in 1/18, and about 75 cars and trucks in 1/64 (approximately 80% cars, 20% trucks). I also have about 20 diecast planes in 1/48 and 1/72 scales and my 1/64 scale trains. Obviously, we both enjoy collecting!

Great pics and models John!
did your order go through with Buz for the Century? when I ordered mine a few months ago, Buz only had a few left and I think I got the second to the last one.
if you did get one, you got the last one, as his website is showing none available.
When I ordered both the 3 tone 1955 Super Riviera and the 2 tone green 1956 Buick Special two-door hardtop, I bought the last ones Buz had.
He confirmed the order, so it would seem that I got the last one. So thankfully I didn't wait too long. I've been looking at for it for some months now.

Thanks, John. Do you have pics of the cars your family had? I am intrigued by the white car shown here with blackwalls. It is indeed an attitudinal shift from the others.

Unfortunately I do not.

Great. I like the Buick in white with the black tyres. Speaking of color of tyres, John. I saw your 1942 Oldsmobiles B-44 Sedanette with the white tyres that you have change and i really like better the looks even if the black ones are ok. When you have change the tyres, did you take off the baseplate? I never do that until now. Do you use a special tool to take off the tyres and put the new ones?

All of my models are displayed off the baseplate. Removing tires from Brooklin Models is fairly easy. Although in some instances such as the Oldsmobile, the model needs to be taken apart. Tire tires are easy to access then. Brooklin model tires are easily removed, they just slide off. No tools required.
