THE 1940's

I really like the style of the '41 Plymouth despite the similar styling that's found on many 1941 cars, especially the coupes and convertibles. As a collector, we've been provided with several examples of this little gem. A couple of model makers issued an example in coupes, convertibles and wagons. This post is going to feature an amazing Woody Wagon from Conquest Models. A few years ago, Buz at Route 66 models came across one of these and offered it in what I seem to remember was a "Fabulous Model Car Friday" special, I was able to make the purchase.

That one looks excellent and definitely in a very nice woody-themed form. I have a 1941 Plymouth in both 1/18 and 1/32 form (coupe and 4-door sedan) and, like this one, are very attractive automobiles.

Probably way too spendy for my budget, and rare, so I built one for my 1941 Plymouth collection.  Not Conquest quality but good enough.

The design of the 41 Plymouth has always been a favorite of mine regardless of the body style. Nice work John Q.

I have #17. This was an exclusive for JM Modelautos, a follow-up business by Judy from Sinclair's. It was their first model, and correctly colored the canvas top, instead of all the various black-roofed versions.
