I bought this model several years ago (2018) and it has always been a favorite of mine.

I have this one in my woodie collection and like it. It is however a model of a one off car enthusiasts creation as Olds never offered this wood kit trim. It was offered as an over the counter kit or dealer installed for Chevrolet.
I think I read that somewhere before. I've seen photos of the 1:1 and it looks to be well-done. It's nice to have the model as a representative of that concept.

@parisi50 I too have this model and love it. The information Curtis states is correct. A late friend of mine was a Chevrolet dealer in the forties and had one of these kits which he always said he wanted to install on his AACA Senior 1948 Chevrolet convertible. He sold the car about twenty years ago and the kit went with it still in the wrapper.
A conservative approach to the wood sides, for certain. Done judiciously and it looks terrific that way!
The wood trim provides a favorable nice contrast. Love the pics of course.
