The '56 Cadillac, while not my favorite in overall style, was indeed polarizing in its details. A glitzier upgrade from the '55 but still simpler than what was to come over the next few years. 1956 was also the 1st year for the Sedan de Ville 4dr hardtop design. Both the Coupe & Sedan de Ville's were the top level of the Series 62 line and continued as such until 1959 where they became their own line.
GLM issued several of these beautiful models in multiple colors, I have a few (maybe more than a few). GIM issued at least one each in both coupe and sedan format as well.

...yep, it was a beautiful 20 year run! Cadillac produced SDV hardtops until 1976; all, IMO, were nicely styled - but in 1956 they were REALLY something! 😎 😎
Real classy in that gorgeous two-tone blue!!
From mid-1950s to mid-1970s Cadillac made many very nice cars. We are fortunate to have many nice models of them in 1/43 scale. Your photos show them well.

What a beautiful car and model ! It is in a great color, too.
