A few weeks ago, I posted photos of my new '59 Pontiac Catalina. There was some discussion about the height of the rear end and maybe some adjustment was necessary. While this kind of thing can be too much for my limited abilities, I decided to take it apart and see what I would be working with. What I found is that the rear axle just sits in a slot in the frame. So, with a bit of a steel rod, I put into the slot 1st and returned the axle to its position. I probably could've used one slightly larger, but I'm happy with the way it looks. I noticed that a couple other of my '59 Pontiac models also sit a bit high in the rear. Maybe more adjustment to follow soon. So here it is, tell me what you think.

Better! Thanks John, I'll sleep easier tonight! 😀 😉
It looks much better with the lower ride height. I love this model! '59 is my favorite year for Pontiac styling. Great one, John!
