Terrific shots of a a spectacular Marque John! That'll grab your attention. Sure wish Auburn, Cord & Duesenberg still made American cars today!

@perrone1 Have it, love it. The color is perfect and so period correct for this car.

Is your 1:43rd collection approaching the numbers of your 1:24th collection Bob?

This was quite a surprise to see this model announcement from GLM a few months ago. I was skeptical of the yellow color and it took me time to decide if I would go with the black closed top. When displayed, the model seems a little bit small but the proportions are spot on.

I finally went with the yellow closed top and I don't regret it. The perfect companion to this one would be a 1937 Cord Custom Beverly Sedan. I hope GLM will get one in the pipeline.

I went with the top down. I agree with others here, that it's too bad the red trim paint did not extend to the fender line at the rear.

@perrone1 Far beyond. When the mints went out of the model car business, I just stepped up my already sizable 1/43 collection. I had run out of space for additional 1/18 and 1/24 scales but 1/43 stepped in. I had been collecting white metal for years and with the decline in that category, resin began a whole new era with miniature works of art and subject matter I never thought we would ever see.

Yes sir, I hear THAT my friend! I, too, have increased my 1/43rd buying. And although it has no collection 'theme' and is meager in size, I can appreciate the fine detailing and fidelity to the 1:1 it replicates. Like you indicate, as well, it takes up so little room comparatively speaking.
