A topic of discussion many times before has been the lack of automotive color choices in today's vehicles. While the majority of all vehicles built today are either, silver, white, black or gray. There are still other options available depending on the brand, but my point is the colors of the 50's and 60's are just not available today. Walk a parking lot anywhere and other than an occasional burst of color, most are quite boring. One of those colors seldom seen today is yellow or gold. The various shades of yellow or gold is still around but are usually seen on a few sports cars and SUVs from time to time.
The point of my discussion this time, is that recently, while passing the GM Proving Ground in Milford, MI. I saw a new Cadillac CT5 Sedan in a golden shade of yellow. Like this one.
To be honest, I didn't realize that Cadillac still offered this shade or any shade of yellow in their lineup. On the remaining drive home, I got to thinking about the yellow Cadillac models in my collection. It's a color that I've always been drawn to, and I've always thought the luxury of a Cadillac looked right at home with a yellow or golden coat. To that end I went through my photo library and found photo sets of 16 Cadillac models from yellow to gold. I may have a few more, but I thought these represented the color well and run from 1934 to 1974. 40yrs of Cadillac "Gold" style.
My 1st choice is not actually a Cadillac, but a LaSalle. Still a Cadillac in every way but the name.

Yellow was/is offered on Cadillac's CT4 as well. Their online 2026 sales brochure does not show the color for the CT5 or CT5 V Blackwing - at least not yet.
Your photos are extraordinarily good - LOVE the LaSalle!

@sizedoesmatter A real factory hot rod. My friend, Bill Bennett, who used to write for Diecast X magazine, has one which he competes with in time/distance rallies. The only ones I have seen were either yellow or black. Did they come in other colors?
If your question goes to the Z06 they came in different colors. They may have changed from one year to another. Mine was the 50th Anniversary Z06 (2003). It came in a choice of Quicksilver, Electron Blue, Speedway White, Black, Torch Red, Millennium Yellow, Medium Spiral Gray, and Anniversary Red.@sizedoesmatter A real factory hot rod. If you reference the Ferrari 488 Pista, it came in Rosso Corsa, Bianco Avus, and Nero, Modena Yellow as well as metallic options like Silverstone and Grigio Titanio.
Gosh john; that C5 Z06 looks awfully familiar!
Tony, I remember discussing your Z06 on the old forum when I collected 1/24 scale models.
If my memory serves me, the Corvette had over 250k miles and still rode like new.
And you replaced it with a Cadillac.
I bought my 1998 6-speed C5 about 7 years ago (just a run of the mill targa top coupe) but I installed a procharger supercharger that added a ton of horsepower and torque.
For such a light car, it puts almost 500 horsepower to the ground and matching torque....it's really fun to drive now.
I added C6 Grand Sport wheels, did the double DIN radio upgrade, installed Corbeau racing seats, upgraded the lights to led and did a custom exhaust, changing the exhaust exit to the side of the rear of the car while eliminating the heavy rear mufflers. (I never did like the F1 middle exhaust design)
The pic of the rear of the car showing the custom exhaust does not do the car justice.
I used Z28 square exhaust tips and the tips are angled to go with the natural curve of the rear bumper (the pic does not pick that up)
This is a video of the car getting dyno tuned after procharger install.
