Here's another model comparison for you - while not identical as one is a convertible and the other a hardtop - but they're both perfect examples of "Personal Luxury" for 1972
1st is from Cadillac - the Fleetwood Eldorado Convertible - issued by Stamp models in 2024 - it is in Coronation Red
2nd is from Lincoln - the Continental Mark IV Hardtop - issued by Great Lighting Models (GLM) in 2025 - it is Black w/a Black top

Really magnificent personal luxury automobiles from back then. Your private jet could land on the hood of these beauties.
Both cars are DDG head turners without a doubt. Great pics, of course.

Both luxurious, but the Cadillac is also stately and I like the color better. Oh, and the drop top is drop dead gorgeous and fun.
Continental for me. I never really cared for the Eldorado after the exceptional first generation.
@whodeytink I agree Mark, after the '70 model, it was all downhill for the Eldo. That Lincoln is magnificent.🤑 JMHO though. 😊 Thanks John, I'm enjoying these too.
Mark & Geno said what I was thinking!

Beautiful models of two beautiful cars. In 1/1 scale I would pick the Mark II
I actually owned the exact 1:1 Mark III in medium metallic green with pearl white interior. It was my daily driver in the late seventies. Powerful and very thirsty!
The Mark III are beautiful cars - I've ridden in one but never drove or owned one. I did have two Mark IVs, a 74 & 75 as well as a '77 Mark V. They were all large, luxurious and yes, very thirsty, the Mark V more so than the IVs. I used to say, they'd pass everything else on the road but a gas station.

@jcarnutz Yes, I remember flooring it on an uphill freeway ramp and seeing the fuel gage needle move! But what acceleration!!
