As I've done before, when I set up a new diorama I usually bring out several models to participate in the photoshoot. The Ford Service set was no exception. Here's a couple of models, one from each side of the pond.

1st is a model from Crossways Models - 1951 Armstrong Siddeley Hurricane Drop Head Coupe

1951 Armstrong Siddeley Conv 0
1951 Armstrong Siddeley Conv 1
1951 Armstrong Siddeley Conv 4
1951 Armstrong Siddeley Conv 5
1951 Armstrong Siddeley Conv 6
1951 Armstrong Siddeley Conv 7

2nd is a model from the Goldvarg Collection - 1961 Mercury Monterey Hardtop Coupe

1961 Mercury Monterey HD R0
1961 Mercury Monterey HD R1
1961 Mercury Monterey HD R4
1961 Mercury Monterey HD R5
1961 Mercury Monterey HD R6
1961 Mercury Monterey HD R7

Crossway made some excellent models; I missed this Siddeley though.  The Goldvarg '61 Mercury is a very nice model which I have.

John, that Armstrong Siddeley is drop dead gorgeous. I have a friend who has two 1/1 Siddeleys one of which is a pickup truck and the other is a saloon (sedan).

Another Siddeley, by Oxford. This represents Sir Malcomb Campbell's ride, when he wasn't at the salt flats or on water somewhere. Hence the particular bright blue color.

Oxford makes excellent models for the cost IMHO.

Very Harv. I thought your photo looked familiar, so I checked my database. Surprise, I have that model as well. I'd completely forgotten about it.

@jack-dodds Or they did. I haven't seen a new 1:43 from them in quite some time. Last one I bought was in 2022.
