In the mid-to late 70s, these large land yachts were all over the roadways. Lincoln changed the design of their Continental Sedan in 1970 and with continued style changes and refinements carried this basic body style through 1979. These were grand luxury barges for sure, and a car I loved to see and despite their size, they drove excellently for the purpose they were designed. I've driven at least a half dozen of them, although I never owned one. My favorite is this one, 1973. So having a model of it is a real treat.
