I had an idea a few years ago to put together a car show - as it turned out - the whole thing was a large undertaking. I built the diorama in the yard, a process that took most of a day to get right. Of course, the sun is never a friend, so it took some trial-and-error setups to get the look I wanted. Then I spent the next three days setting up and photographing over a hundred different models. I brought together a group of assorted models as well as a day that was devoted to Chrysler brand cars including a bunch devoted to just the Imperial. Hundreds of photos were taken, some have surfaced and have been posted previously, but since I can be way to picky, I wasn't really thrilled with a lot of them and just dumped them into a file. I hope to continue reviewing those that remain.
To start, here's one I changed the processing to black & white just for fun.

LOVE it! The gas station, between two large billboards and right on Main St. looks fantastic. Great lineup of terrific cars too. I can see where this was a long labor of love. Magnificent. I think I'd like the scene at lease as well, maybe better, in color!

I have those shots ready as well. A slightly different crop and angle, but the same models - should be posted later.

Impressive. I love these types of displays but they take a lot of effort to pull off. Thanks for sharing, John.
