For this post, let's have just a bit of fun. We'll start with the premise; It's 1970 and you're in the market for a new car. There are a lot of possibilities to choose from and since you're undecided as to exactly what kind of car you're interested in, the choices are varied. You don't have a brand preference, so that makes your choice more inclusive as the complete 1970 lineup is in play. Now 1st, you have decided the car must lean toward the luxury end, all the new compact and smaller cars are not a consideration. So, what options does that give you. We'll be restricting our choices as to what has been offered in model form. The 1970 model year is reasonably covered, with three luxury offerings, so the choice is now yours. These choices will cover three different body styles from three different car brands. Which are you the most interested in for your new car?

The 1st choice will be from Buick and a convertible. Issued by Stamp Models in 2023, it is in Seamist Green Metallic.

1970 Buick Electra 225 Convertible

1970 Buick Elec 225 Conv G0
1970 Buick Elec 225 Conv G1
1970 Buick Elec 225 Conv G4
1970 Buick Elec 225 Conv G5
1970 Buick Elec 225 Conv G6
1970 Buick Elec 225 Conv G7

The 2nd choice will a 2-door hardtop, this option pushes the luxury car offering up a notch and with a whole new body design this year for this car, a 1st rate choice for sure. This model was offered from GLM, also issued in 2023. It is in Medium Gold Iridescent.

1970 Lincoln Continental Hardtop Coupe

1970 Lincoln Conti Cpe G0
1970 Lincoln Conti Cpe G1
1970 Lincoln Conti Cpe G4
1970 Lincoln Conti Cpe G5
1970 Lincoln Conti Cpe G6
1970 Lincoln Conti Cpe G7

The 3rd option is the final body style we'll consider today. This choice is a bit more practical in offering a 4-door option, we'll keep it a tad sportier with a hardtop style. This model was also issued by Stamp Models and was released in 2024. Our choice today is in Corinthian Blue w/a white top.

1970 Cadillac Sedan De Ville 4dr Hardtop

1970 Cadillac Sdn DeVille B0
1970 Cadillac Sdn DeVille B1
1970 Cadillac Sdn DeVille B4
1970 Cadillac Sdn DeVille B5
1970 Cadillac Sdn DeVille B6
1970 Cadillac Sdn DeVille B7

So, what's it going to be? What's your mood at purchase time? I'll give you my choice later on. Have some fun thinking about it or just make your pick right away. You decide.

3: gorgeous choices.  I have that Lincoln in maroon and it's a total knockout.  But I think I'd go with the Cadillac, one of my favorite years.

Three BIG Boys! All three nice! Those two-door's are gigantic looking. I, too, favor the Lincoln. But if the Caddy were two door it might be different!

Those are big, beautiful Buicks, Lincolns and Cadillacs ! They make excellent models and knockout replicas to display.

This was not my favorite Lincoln. A friend has an identical 1/1 of the Buick even down to the color and while it's a nice car, it doesn't hold up to the luxury of the Cadillac. Cadillac for me.

I'm going for top-down motoring in the fabulous Electra 225.  Love the color and the five-spoke chrome road wheels give this luxury cruiser a sporting flair.

My choice of these three would be the Lincoln, the Buick would a very, very close 2nd.

They're all magnificent. But I love the gigantic coupe look of the Lincoln.
