This is one of my favorite Brooklin models. They scream charm and character and despite their little size, they have wonderful attention to details. I have 10 of these in my collection (ok, a couple of duplicates) and I can't say I wouldn't add another if something interesting came my way.

Charming little models for sure....but owning 10 doesn't necessarily make you charming. 😏 😏 Now let's test your useless TRIVA knowledge... I can NEVER hear/see the worlds, "Hudson Terraplane," without thinking of the movie The French Connection (1971). Does anyone know (or care.. LoL ) why?
Love the pictures and the models John. Brooklin did a wonderful job with their models of thirties automobiles and I collected every one.
Excellent Hudson Terraplanes from Brooklin ! Both are terrific and the blue colored convertible is a real sweetheart.

OK, early in the film Jimmy (Popeye ) & Buddy are watching night club doors, waiting for Sal & Angie. As the couple exist, Popeye theorizes about what car the valet will return with (What does Sal drive? ) Buddy responds, "He's got a Hudson Terraplane, that's what he's got...." The valet returns with a new, black Ford LTD sedan. Popeye & Buddy then tail Sal & Angie throughout the night.
As a kid, I knew what a Hudson Terraplane was despite the fact that no one else did; they didn't understand that line.
Again, TOTALLY USELESS trivia that means NOTHING in life, yet my head is filled with countless facts such as this.
I know, I know... I just wasted 3 minutes of everyone's life! Sorry! 🙄 🙄 🙄
the reason I had to have this model was because of Robert Johnson’s 1936 recording Terraplane Blues .

Not a waste at all! Some talented script-writer came up with that line to impart some idea to an audience and clearly it was worthwhile - even through all these years.
