Continuing a little tribute to Chrysler's Style & Design. Here's another set of photos I took a few years ago that points out the 1961 designs of three of their makes.
Chrysler Newport Sedan & Dodge Dart Phoenix Sedan-NEO Scale Models, Plymouth Belvedere Sedan-Highway Traveler's
Now these photos were taken before the release of the GLM '61 Imperial, I'll have to do some updates. I had the Conquest '61 DeSoto at the time, but since I was featuring sedans only, it wasn't included.

Even as a 7-year old in 1961 I thought Chrysler Corp. cars featured some strange styling. That styling has since grown on me and I find this trio to be quite handsome. Excellent photography goes without saying but I'm saying it anyway.

Chryco styling was SO different from its competition in this era; it's surprising that the company survived, given how attractive the Ford and GM offerings looked.
