This a very recent release from Goldvarg. Now Sergio issues some beautiful models, and this one is no exception. Occasionally however, the model designations are a bit off. The packaging indicates this to be a 1957 Oldsmobile Starfire. The Starfire name was applied to all 98 series cars in 1957 having been used on the 98 convertibles only in the previous few years.
This model is not a 98 if one looks at the excellent badging on the front fender. Clearly indicated is a Super 88 badge. Since the Starfire designation only applies to the 98, this model can't be one. It would have been great to have a 98 since Brooklin already covered the Super 88 model with their Holiday Hardtop, convertible, and Holiday Hardtop sedans and wagons. When I get a chance, I'll need to compare this model with those Brooklin releases.
As I said, this model is very nice and is finished in an excellent two-tone color choice. (the same colors as my 1:18 scale model issued by Danbury Mint/Acme Trading a few years ago)
