62 years ago I received this little car for Christmas. I always enjoyed this gift and who would have known I would end up working in the automotive world.

I got mine new about the same time - but it can't be 62 years ago??? wow.... Am I that old? 🙄  My Thomas Flyabout is packed away - will have to go get it out if I can find it!

Nice to see Galen. This is the Matchbox Model of Yesteryear Y-12 1909 Thomas Flyabout first issue. It is 1/48 scale. I still have all my early Yesteryears and started collecting about the time you got yours. Like Karl, mine are currently boxed away, forced into storage by hoards or newer items, but I still love them. Time flies.

Here is a variation that I got in the early 1970s. It is plated and on a black ceramic tray.
