Topic starter

Models of the Imperial brand have become an important part of my collection. I have always been fascinated by these cars, especially the years of 1957-1963. With the many issues by GLM, I have been quite satisfied with the models I have acquired.

Here are two from my favorite, 1960.

1960 Imperial Crown Convertible, LE #44 of 60 & Custom Southampton Hardtop Coupe, LE #60 of 149 - Both models are presented in Dusk Mauve

1960 Imperial Crown Cnv DM0
1960 Imperial Crown Cnv DM1
1960 Imperial Crown Cnv DM4
1960 Imperial Crown Cnv DM5
1960 Imperial Crown Cnv DM6
1960 Imperial Crown Cnv DM7

1960 Imperial Cstm SH DM0
1960 Imperial Cstm SH DM1
1960 Imperial Cstm SH DM4
1960 Imperial Cstm SH DM5
1960 Imperial Cstm SH DM6
1960 Imperial Cstm SH DM7

Looks like a great model, John.  Congratulations.  The only 1:1 Imperial I ever owned was a 1990 sedan.  My wife was selling real estate and wanted something to make her clients comfy.  I drove it some and liked it.  IMO it was the ultimate K car.   Has it or any other K car been done in 1/43?  I don't think I've ever seen one.

They both look great, John, I also have the convertible in this color. I didn't know it was available as a hardtop as well!

Not to hijack John's thread but here you go, David:

I believe there are other color variations of both of these.

John, or anyone else reading this topic, since you have an open convertible, how is the interior detail?

Both are Crown livery models. They have the Crown crest on the rear fenders. This color is far better than the 1961 "Fuchsia" Convertible that I consider so much an eyesore in my display. I am open to trade on this one if anybody is interested.
