Another really interesting GEARBOX issue. I especially enjoyed the comprehensive article on Black Cat Catalina history as well as the restoration project. I must dig out my Daimler Ambulances for another look. Thank you both.

These Catalinas are so evocative of the Pacific theatre and for some curious reason have a romance about them quite separate to the horror of war. Perhaps that is just how Hollywood portrayed their use?

Thanks for info about the Catalina use for mine laying. I was not familiar with this part of WW2.
