GLM 51 Cadillac convertible
Just saw an image of this model which I don't remember seeing anywhere before. It looks very much like the old elegance resin version except the windshield is pictured to be a translucent rectangle just sort of plopped on the cowl. It looks too bizarre for even a prototype. Anyone have any insight into this?
See #26160 below.
You mean this one?

It does look like a rather crude resin prototype windscreen/windshield frame popped into position as a test fitting. It certainly doesn't look anything like the finished screen fitted to their sedan version (or the screen on the real car)

But the screen on the sedan would have been integral with the roof/body casting, and the convertible screen will presumably be a separate fitting - which for the sake of Cadillac lovers one assumes they will refine further!
It seems a bit silly to release photos of the prototype which give such a bad impression of what the finished article will be like, but maybe their eagerness to generate advance interest got the better of them.

It seem that the door is a bit short, Brooklin door is correct
Joe, it's a prototype, a pic released by a web seller. Very soon we'll see the final product.
Jean, Graeme's pic sure looks a lot like the pic on the GLW website.

Yes absolutely Joe, it's probably some pic tests that GLM have done and sent to retailers to show what's to come, but as you can see, none of these pictures are shown on their own website.
The reason is because this Cadillac, obviously, is a prototype. The windshield will be a separate part from the body, and what we see is just a resin structure. The little side windows aren't even there yet. Now for the accuracy and the proportions of the Caddy itself, I guess that we'll need better pics to have a better idea. So far, in my opinion, it's good, but not that great...
These pre-production model pics have been released publicly by Carmodel. It doesn't necessarily mean that GLM's intentions were that these pictures to be seen now...
