Hah! You think I can't defend myself? I have a black belt in . . . um . . . faux Moroccan leatherette. Or it may be polyester. But make no mistake, I know how to use it - unlike those tricky trouser braces (or "suspenders" as you people call them) that I've never quite got the hang of. So to speak.
This era of Lincoln is my least favorite but I must say that these prototypes are very nice indeed and I will be buying one to represent this era of Lincoln design in my collection. I would sure like to see another color other than red though as it is overdone in 1:43 models in general IMHO; although I do appreciate that "red sells". Black on black looks great on smaller cars or large sedans but it looks too formal in a convertible IMHO; red interior would contrast better. Just one person's opinion of course. Here are several of my favorite colors Lincoln offered in '59:
Deauville Yellow
Pearl Blue Poly
Cameo Rose
Sapphire Poly
I agree on a black over red interior too.
JK suggested I buy 4 models...lol. Keep 2 stock and customize the other 2.
He also suggested that I stop eating for a few months so I can afford to buy all four lol. Well, that ain't gonna happen.
About two years ago I photographed this Continental, while walking in the Chicago suburb of Barrington. Can someone tell me what year Continental it is? The license plate fits the car.

Oh no Graeme...I would never suggest you can't defend yourself. I've seen the "action" pictures you posted and will say that as far as boxing goes you definitely make one hell of a cyclist.
I hold a black belt myself Graeme; I have to hold it cuz since my last weight gain the ends don't meet anymore. My wife Cupcake is becoming even more disenchanted if that's possible; claiming this proves I can't form attachments anymore...whatever the hell that means....it's basically white noise really.
Perhaps so, but I'll never forget all the little people who helped me become so famous. Now, my life is filled with never-ending efforts to live up to my legendary status. I tell you, it's exhausting! Fame is such a burden!
