GM's Futurliner... [PIC]

I just got done watching Dave Kindig & Co restoring the rotting hulk of one of Harley Earl's GM Futurliners to its former glory for the third time. It was an amazing feat of fabrication. These custom vehicles built for their traveling "Parade of Progress" events were built from 1940 to 1946 at a cost said to be $100,000 each. The model here is the #7 "Out of the Muddle" vehicle that focused on urban and highway congestion. The operating light bar and showroom double doors work flawlessly and overall, it's a well done little miniature.
