I posted on The Lounge earlier, saying I seemed to remember some news about a '67 Riviera by Goldvarg, but nobody picked up on it.

To answer my own question, I eventually tracked down this post by Sergio from June 2021. It shows a very early handbuilt prototype.

Goldvarg 67 Riviera

I thought I recalled a later post showing a more advanced pre-production version, but can't seem to find it now.

There were other posts from Sergio back then showing other prototypes in preparation, including the '63 Riviera, all of which (or almost all) have now been issued. Maybe he can tell us whether the '67 Riv is still in the pipeline or whether it was abandoned because Neo did the very similar-bodied '69?

I'm only asking because I prefer the original frontal treatment of the 66-67 cars to the later "facelift".

Glad to hear it. Now you are guaranteed to sell at least one.

This Riviera will be a huge success.  There were many gorgeous factory colors offered that year. Here is an color I love on it...Riviera Plum.

Champagne Mist might be a good 2nd color.

Yes it certainly would.  Personally I prefer this car without a vinyl roof.

Yes, it's a lovely colour. Unfortunately (for me) I got the Neo '69 in that colour (or something very close to it) and it is also quite similar to my Goldvarg '63 Riviera so personally I would be hoping for a bit of a contrast.

Ah, yes, the Riviera in Champagne Mist. Sabra of Israel produced something pretty damn close, and what a sublime model it was (apart from one or two minor problems with small bodywork details and assembly quality. Too trivial to mention, really.)

Riviera (Sabra)

Fortunately, with a little patience I was able to turn it into a halfway decent Riviera GS.

Of course I would never dream of retiring my lovely little silver Sabra but I'd be happy to add a Champagne Mist version from Sergio any day.

Same here Jack. I'm not at all a fan of a vinyl roof on this Riviera body style. It just looks wrong to me.

Agreed. It's not the vinyl that's the problem but the chrome edging completely spoils the way the roof flows so smoothly into the lower body.

All together now . . . "Sergio, no vinyl roof, PLEASE!"

I'd like one of the colors to be Riviera Charcoal Irid or Midnight Blue Irid. To me, a dark color would emphasize the luxury aspect of the Riviera. I agree that no vinyl top would look best. The somewhat long hood, short deck with a sloping roofline is "interrupted" by a vinyl top.

I have no problem with the vinyl roof. Either way is okay with me.
