I attended an old toy show in Tennessee yesterday and had a good time. Here's one item I found that might interest some. It's a wooden Buick (?) with embellishments of wire, a little smaller than 1/43. The wheels are also wood and do not roll. I thought I could see writing on the underside, but even with enlargement and color changes, I can't read anything there. I photographed it beside a 1/43 Brooklin for size comparison. The dealer had no idea of this curiosity's origins.
Oh yes, here's a picture of the 1948 Buick Super that I think could have influenced this unknown builder.
Pretty cool ! Obviously the great style and looks of a big late '40's Buick inspired a builder to make this replica.
Thanks for sharing David. Would love to know more about how this model came about.
David! You are supposed to tell me when there's a show here!
Sorry, Harv. There still Saturday. Check it out at:

@d-m-holcombe Thanks David - I sent them an e-mail and asked to be notified of future shows. Too busy today to go.
@bob-jackman I would too! I've gone all over it with a magnifying glass without a clue.
