Happy Easter, everyone, It's a beautiful sunny day here in Indy. My wife and I are now fully vac'ed so we are feeling hopeful.
David has been posting some great Formula 1 stuff here, so I thought I'd show a recent purchase. And a recent F1 season. These two Alfa Romeos ran in 2019 at Monaco, by Minichamps. I do like the enlarged Alfa logo on the fuselage. Kimi has been around for a while and this was his 300th GP! Alfa does not seem to be doing so well though - they are actually Ferrari engines (previous season, I assume) with the former Sauber team...
Last year Alpha Romeo, Haas, and Scuderia Ferrari I believe all ran the same engine and none of them did very well. This years first race and Alpha Romeo, while they didn't score any points looked better than last season. Ferrari placed 4th with Charles LeClerc, and Haas, well they have two rookie drivers, one crashed out before even completing the first lap the other, Mick Schumacher got to see the difference going from last seasons F2 champion to F1, hopefully after he gets his feet a little wetter he'll start to show signs that he might be as good as his father was.
@john-quilter This is the Brooklin-built Motor City MC-200 which was their penultimate model. The last model was a convertible version, made in Germany.
Those 2019 Formula 1 Alfa Romeos looked really impressive Karl. I did not get them but as usual, I have regrets.
As you know, in 2020 all the Ferrari engined cars had a poor year. I understand that FIA because of 'illegal' modifications to the Ferrari engine in 2019, penalized Ferrari by requiring less fuel per race, forcing them to turn down their engines. There was also a financial penalty. This was kept secret from even the other teams during the 2020 season but leaked prior to 2021 season start. No penalty this year however so all Ferrari engined cars should do better.
The 2021 cars look fantastic to me. I will be buying quite a few of them.

Harv; I just found this post. I have this model and absolutely love it...one of my favorites in my collection. Perfect color combo IMO.
