Dick - Did you know David Seibert?
I got to know David (D. G.) Seibert from Traders Horn years ago. In the early 1980's I changed jobs and went to Atlanta for some training with Wausau Insurance. Since I had corresponded with Dave, I decided to call him up. I knew he was into Ferraris - he met me at my motel to go to dinner driving a 308GTB! He used to live off Roswell Rd. but then moved over towards the Dunwoody area, I think. He put me on to a 1/43 retailer located north of Marietta, but the name momentarily escapes me. In subsequent visits to Atlanta I would look him up but have lost touch.
BTW, I'm a bit north of you in Oak Ridge, TN.
Yes, I met him once some years ago.
His son was also into David Winter Cottages which my wife was collecting. I forgot why we went there but I recall buying a Brooklin from him. I think my wife was selling them some duplicate cottages. Before I retired, I often went to Knoxville on business and, more recently, to Gatlinburg for bridge.
I am 32 and making the median age of this group lower
I collect models since the age of 8. Currently live in Toronto, Ontario...
Dick - I was just in Gatlinburg yesterday....
...but I try to avoid it whenever possible (a smaller version of Atlanta's north loop on Friday at 5:00PM, same gridlock but with tourists). Went to Harrah's casino in Cherokee NC with the SMJC (Smoky Mtn, Jaguar Club).
