(PIC) USPS Air...There is a USPS Processing Center in Kent so before you think it is a crazy route, it may be due to the location of the processing center.
USPS at one time had their own planes, now mail flies commercial.

Remember that Lindbergh began as an airmail pilot. Commercial air has flown the mail for decades.
That is the truth, Harvey.
I think FedEx and UPS are under a lot of pressure to compete with USPS. I see both truck in my neighborhood on the weekend and priority mail is often delivered on the weekend.
No politics here!
Believe me David you are paying dearly for the Postal Service.
In the recent stimulus package we US tax payers just paid 20,000,000,000 to bail them out again.
Lloyd no wonder we have to bail them out.
John, where did you hear that the Postal Service has cut their staff?
Plus the USPS has to pickup/deliver to EVERY address in the US. Every day! Fedex has no such ...
constraints.

USPS Contraints
If anyone is interested John Oliver did an excellent piece on the USPS, you can find it on Youtube.
The USPS is heavily constrained by Congress and the Administration. They HAVE to serve every community in the US, even the locales where there is no profit. They cannot set prices without government approval. They can't leverage their infrastructure to provide additional services and gain additional revenue, and the list goes on.

and they would be out of business if it weren't for the
American taxpayer bailing them out every year.
