Dear Rick Thompson, thanks so much for your comments...

Regarding the slightly different tones in the wood frames, I took measurements from two different examples, and between them the difference in tone is the exact difference that exist between both real cars. What's interesting is that both owners told me that their color was the correct one! I tried to find another example, but I was not successful with the condition of the car. Then I was searching in photos, and of course, in the different printed images, the color varies according to light, print, quality, megapixels, etc. So I trusted both owners and decided to do both color frames. Even for me, should be much more easier to do only one color.
This is the story behind the slightly different tone in the frames. Each model has an interesting story to be told. I am really thinking in writing a book!! Best regards, Rick!

Dear Paul Rouffa, well, starting in 1901, the White Socks are a part of the American Culture.

So, I thought that it would be a nice tribute to have a 1950's fan of the team. And the fan coincidentally , has a 1953 Ford Country Squire!
And our common friend Dick Browne knows very well, how do I admire American culture and history. Best regards, Paul!

Dear John Kuliak, I'm so happy that you like both colors!

In the very first prototype, the blue was very brilliant, and was not the accurate tone. Then it was corrected for this nearly exact Glacier Blue. Best regards, John!

In my 52 years experience with woodies and especially fords I have seen many original examples. Ford used nothing but three coats of spar varnish on their wagons all sprayed. Spar varnish has an amber cast. The blue one appears too yellow. The red one appears closer to the tone but could use a tad more amber. If you split the difference on the two leaning toward the red one it would be about right. Some owners use urethanes which have no color and are not correct for the warm tone of the original spar varnish. Other owners tint their top coating to try to hide imperfections in the wood. Theres is one near me that has a heavy yellow orange tint to try to hide a world of sin. In closing, I love the cars and am getting both of these fine models. I've waited for this wagon to be made for a long time. Very glad Sergio has come thru in great fashion!

I'm with you, Michel. I'd take as many wagons as Sergio could make.
