I've been for the most part, absent from the Forums and just about everywhere else. Very briefly, 'cause I don't want to dwell.
I was working quite a bit out of town, came home a few weeks ago with another case of Covid. Unlike the 1st time, it hit me very hard. I've recovered mostly, but a few lasting effects remain. I've been trying to get back into the things I love, like my models, but it has been slow going, as the interest isn't quite there. I have been improving with those things as I do post a comment from time to time, and I've even started buying a few models, including the recent Brooklin/hobbyDB Ventura and quite a few from Jack Dodds. It's been difficult to focus and stay that way for a few weeks now. Hopefully, some arriving boxes will perk things up. Maybe a new post or so will come soon as well, I'm sorry for my absence and lack of interest. I've been around here so long; I'd never have thought it possible to lose the desire to visit every day.
I went back to work for a few days last week and again this week, it won't be until the 15th I return full-time, but I'm home bound for the rest of year at least.
I hope everyone else is well and all things are good for you. I am looking forward to getting back to normal, whatever that is, LOL!

John,
I'm so very sorry to hear this. I hope you get well soon. I know that when your health is poor things can drift.
I acquired COVID last September while in Prague. I am still dealing with long COVID, low blood pressure issues. Then, a trip to Madrid this May did me in when I caught something on the way home. Turned into a horrible sinus infection and then surgery 12 days ago. I lost interest in so many things during the last 10 weeks or so. I think I detect a pattern with overseas vacation and I have lost my desire to travel, at least for now.
Take care of yourself and don't overdo it.
It happens....
Without your health, you've got nothing. Not much else matters, right?
You take care OF YOU!
See you soon!
Probably best to take things at their own pace. The interest is clearly there but maybe the energy levels are busy with more pressing matters for the moment.
Take care, and I hope you return to normal very soon.

Get better soon ! I had Covid twice too, and during my first bout is when I had my stroke. So, take care of yourself and call your Doctor if you need to talk things over. See your back here at 100 % quickly !
Take your time and get better, John. You are part of the heart of this community and we need you healthy and well, my friend.

Hear, hear!!
@jcarnutz It was just last night that I thought, “I haven’t seen John post in a while.” I did a search on the Forum to see when you last posted and saw your comment to someone’s post about a week ago and was relieved and chalked it up to you being busy or traveling. Sorry to hear you’ve been ill. Here’s to a speedy recovery and to the return of your joy in this great hobby we all love!
Get better please, John. As you get better your interest will get back to normal so you can focus on the things you enjoy. Pursue steady progress and try to avoid the temptation to rush it.
We miss you John. Take care of yourself and we look forward to your return to the little car community in a little while.
Get well soon John! Posts can wait until you feel better. I had Covid once, good thing I was vaccinated so the effects were minimal.
