In response to Chris Sweetman's statement "opening features rule!"
I realize it's yet another Soviet vehicle, an MTB-82D Trolleybus by ULTRA Models (I believe the livery is Gorky, and it's ZIU production...), but well...it's got operating pantographs, steering front wheels, and opening doors with nearly flawless shutlines...

Enjoy!
Wow
Hate to think how much spending money that cost but it is beautifully modelled
Thanks Maz! Believe it or not, you can actually get these in Russia for about the price of...
...the average Brooklin, or about $115-$125.
Simply great!
Superb detail! The trolley poles seem to have several pieces as well
Nice - is that the typical 1:50, or another of my favorite scales? 🙂
Correct! The trolley poles (pantographs) are sprung, deploying like the real deal.
Each pole is made up of six pieces, including two springs for each one. To deploy the poles, you push down gently, turn the poles around, and then let them spring upward (not too violently; just keep your fingers on the poles until they've gotten to the top).
For any non-Soviet Bloc fans, I really hope they make a...
...Pullman or St. Louis Car Co. trolleybus. You could get away with liveries for San Francisco, Chicago, Detroit, and even NYC (the famed Brooklyn Trackless Trolley).
Nope, not 1/50...it's actually 1/43!
Hom much does a model like that retail in the US?
Frank, you can order one from Modelcarsheritage.ru for about $130 including shipping.
They're probably the best bet, as they do ship internationally and pack very well. Just search "UM43-A2-2" under "Model Code" in the English version of their website.
