What do you think of the MKZ, Doug? How does it compare to your NEOs?

Quality wise, it's right there with NEO. I am not crazy about the subject matter but

I am a Lincoln collector so I had to have it.

Thanks. Have you picked up any of the GLMs yet? I hear they're well done as well.

BTW, NEO is coming out with a mid 90's Town Car very soon.

I'm waiting on a 94 Cadillac Deville from China that I ordered 2 months ago.

That is why I do not want to order from China. I am probably screwed. Too bad there are no distributors in the US.

All nice pics Doug. I have them all (different colors) except...

the LeSabre Conv. As far GLM, I had the '91 Cadillac on order since January. Just got it last week. I don't know who you are dealing with, but I understand your frustration.

Some of those dealers put up their auctions before the models are available

They're not always clear on stating that you're actually placing a pre-order. You may even receive an automatically generated tracking number that is useless. If you're willing to wait, they usually pull through. I ordered the Matrix Rolls Wagon in green a few months ago and it came in two days ago. In the case of some limited production items, like the Rolls, it pays as everything we are hearing from Matrix indicates that it is already sold out.

You can, in almost all cases, rely on the feedback rating of the seller. If they're in the habit of ripping people off, it will show up there. I try not to bid on any item whose seller rates less than 97%. Even those guys can be iffy.

For standard production run models, I'd rather deal with an established, stateside dealer.

Doug, there are a couple dealers in Holland that are selling GLM alongside Matrix.

I'm not sure where they get them, but they seem to have them in hand as opposed to on order.

I had another look at the Matrix website.

Apologies if this is old news, but when I clicked on "ID bv" on their home page it took me to the home page of "INVENTIST Distribution", which says they are a wholesaler, importer and exporter of model cars and that MATRIX is their own brand, whie GLM - GreatLighting Models (did they intend that to be "Great Lightning", by any chance?) is their branding name for models "imported from one of our partners".

LINK

If you click on the GLM logo at the bottom left of that page you can see the GLM models. The individual photos are sometimes slow to load, but if you select "Lincoln" for example, you get a slide-show of nice large pictures.

I assume the "partner" they refer to is Neo? The Lincolns certainly look like Neos but I'm not sure whether there are colour or trim differences.

I am not generally a Caillac fan but I do quite like their '94 Sedan deVille.

p.s. Re JK's point about the Radford Rolls being sold out. If that is true then it looks as if this model got no further than the HK dealers. Although it appears to have been the first Matrix release, MCW in Germany still haven't shown it as available, but have been offering the Ford LTD and the 4-door Porsche 911 (the Porsche now seems to be out of stock, they still have the LTD.)
