...of one the the models I've collected since then. It's a 1948 A.C.F. IC-41 produced by American Heritage Models in 1/50th scale a few years ago, but it's so nice I wanted to share it. If it's inappropriate for this Forum, please delete it and I won't put up a fuss....

Those are all beautiful models. Now I’m ready for a cross-country trip !
THAT is a great looking 1948 bus! 👍 👍 👍
That front end of the Continental - so much detail! 😎 👍
Welcome back Gene. I collect busses but because of space limitations mine are 1/87 scale. This is the perfect forum as it is closest to 1/50 scale.
I can’t remember the name of the first bus in the picture. The one with the round backside. That bus was owned by a bus company that ran daily buses to the city over the hill (Hazleton PA) but they saved this bus for special trips. It wasn’t like the daily bus at all. It was funny we used to call it the Bingo Bus. It drove through town picking up little old ladies for a bingo party on Friday nights. We would stop what ever we were doing and run to wave at the bus driver and then in the summer when the windows were open. I remember laying in bed and listening for it to drive through town dropping them off after midnight. The engine sounded so different than other buses.
