John has gone out of his comfort zone this time by forsaking white metal (temporarily no doubt) and delved into the world of die cast. His project this time was a rather plain looking Rextoys V16 Cadillac. The pictures speak for themselves. John's chosen colours are Peugeot Pierre de Lune Metallic over Toyota Purplish Red Metallic. As John said to me, it looks quite regal. The interior was very sparse but John has added a white metal dashboard and front seat from a 1941 Pontiac, plus rear view mirror and door furniture. All the usual extras have been added to the exterior with the chrome being bare metal foiled. Speed lines on the fenders were not added, but all not V16s had these. I think this has transformed the model from a less expensive item to one which wouldn't look out of place with current Brooklins, nor the resin super detailed offerings. I've included the original model for comparison.

JE Rextoy Cadillac Front Red
JE Rextoy Cadillac Rear Red
JE Rextoy Cadillac Front 1 Re colour
JE Rextoy Cadillac Front 2 Re colour
JE Rextoy Cadillac Rear 1 Re colour
JE Rextoy Cadillac Side 2 Re colour
JE Rextoy Cadillac Side 1 Re colour
