A Thomas Flyer by RIO #143 (figures added)
If you can't remember the race, see:
.....and Blake Edward's 1965 movie "The Great Race" it [loosely] inspired. Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Jack Lemon, a young Peter Faulk,......and the greatest pie fight ever filmed. Curtis drove his 'Leslie Special', an elegant machine which even looked a bit like the Flyer and was the favorite. I do not think the 1908 race included a silent-era- style villain like Jack Lemmon's "Professor Fate" who was determined to sabotage the favorite at every opportunuty with his six-wheeled 'Hannibal 8'.
I see that the gentleman cranking the engine is taking time off from his Corgi Model T. The people enhance this Thomas.
Chrysler Prowler by Testors (not that old, but a goodie!)
Okay, this is a kit that I built a while back. But it's a pre-painted kit that is really fun, and the result is a fine 1/43 scale model of one of the more uncommon American cars of the last generation. Try it!
