Just learned about traveling bookmobiles.
I had never heard about this before. Here is some information about them: https://www.ba-bamail.com/content.aspx?emailid=35787 Has anyone here seen or used one? I doubt any 1/43 versions have been built, but ???

I'd forgotten about these. Yes, back in the 1960s.

My county, like many rural counties, still has an active bookmobile, (pic)and it goes out daily. It is staffed by our county library with a professional librarian. Just a couple of minutes on-line gave me these interesting pictures, along with many more available. May I suggest the next time you're in your local library that you ask about their bookmobile. You may get a pleasant surprise.

(later) I just saw on our library's web site that the bookmobile, like much of our library, is now suspeneded from active service. The coronavirus strikes again!

Mobile library
This is an interesting thread as I am a retired librarian and my first professional post on qualification was as the mobile librarian for the west London authority I worked for. That was in the mid 1970's. Haven't any photos.
I don't know if it's still working because of the virus, but I know the authority where I live now in Cumbria, NW England, has suspended theirs because the whole library service is temporally closed in the emergency.
I'm not aware of any models in any scale; there again I've not looked for them!
