Just posted 110 Model Auto Review Magazines on our auction board

I used these in researching my books. They have a wealth of information and photographs and provide many, many hours of reading enjoyment. Each magazine is about 50 pages and is printed on excellent paper. I have posted them at a low buy it now price of less than 90 cents a copy because the cost of shipping them is so high. Be sure to press the"View all photos" link below the listing if you decide to view the auction.

Good luck with that.

A while back I posted a list of MARs in mint condition that I was offering for free (postage cost only) and had no takers. I think the problem is that MAR had such a faithful band of followers that they probably all owned every issue from the time they discovered the magazine existed!

In the end I weeded out the articles and pictures I wanted to keep and had to send the rest to recycling, apart from a small random selection to remind me how the mag developed over the years and what a wonderful source of information it was.

I still have mine, an almost complete set.

Towards the end, when issues took on themes like pedal cars, I had Rod skip those. I'm only missing a couple, I guess I should find them an make it a complete set.

#276 was the last print copy, correct? Before they went to an online-only version.

Yes 276 was the last print copy 276 was done as both print and online edition. After that it has been web only.
I think that I have a complete set and dip in from time to time to remind myself of that it was like to collect in days gone by.
Sadly there is little demand for old copies as those interested get fewer and fewer as each year passes.

I was fortunate a few years ago to get these MAR from a Swedish chap who sold them and shipped them to me for a little bit more than I am asking. MAR is such an estimable publication and I was glad to have over 100 consecutively numbered copies. Who knows, maybe someone who values them as much as we will repeat my experience. Worth using the Zone's auction site to find out.

I have all 276. I marked certain articles that I return to reference every once in a while. -pic
