Hard for me to pass up adding another Mopar to my collection...even though I have the white one, I ordered and just received the red one as well:

20221026 204607
20221026 204653
20221026 204708

It looks great in this color. Plymouth must have thought so too, as it was featured in their advertising for 1968:

YMMA3 136 8806e1e7 c73a 4769 a3df 9dae6e98c39d 1080x

I hope some of these are prototype pics... I aways hate to see hardtop, "skirt-wearing," Police cars. Maybe the New York Police had a few four-door hardtops w/skirts, but I sincerely doubt it. 🙄

@daveg

I like the black one with the red interior and no fender skirts...the blue one with the red interior, not so much. And I assume the production models will have whitewall tires for the passenger car versions. EDIT: Just noticed these are identified as "Dodge Phoenix" on the display base. Definitely not sold in the U.S. under that make and model. Also note the different side trim from the Fury III - looks more like the U.S. Fury II. EDIT#2: The "Dodge Phoenix" is RHD. Australian maybe?

Chris, I think these Kess '68 Fury's (Furies?) are 4-door sedans, not hardtops. Agree with you re: police cars with fender skirts...

@moe-parr Let's compare: Yes, looks like you're correct. It appears C-pillars are more "raked" on hardtops. I guess Kess's use of chrome window frames fooled me. Perhaps they shouldn't be chrome? 🤔 🤔

Good catch though Barry, thanks.
