Ageing out - what a polite way of describing people like me. I wish Brooklin would do a model or two of an American car from 1970’s or 1980’s. Thanks again for an excellent video.

Yeah ........ a Chevrolet Citation would be a natural choice after looking at this Austin LOL.Ageing out - what a polite way of describing people like me. I wish Brooklin would do a model or two of an American car from 1970’s or 1980’s. Thanks again for an excellent video.
I aged out years ago and didn't know it.
@bob-jackman LOL! "Not knowing" is often for the best Bob. There is definitely a place for "ignorance is bliss" in my retired life.
This little grocery getter will be a big seller in the UK and various parts of Europe but much less so in N. America as, to my knowledge, it wasn't imported for sale back in the day.
Once again, I'd be in the market for an MG version.
BTW, per Julie Evans (whose birthday was yesterday), the forthcoming BRK hot rod engine was modeled after that in one of her cars.

Me as well and they could consider the estate as well. I'm a bit surprised they have picked the Austin Montego as Hatchette has done that as a quite nice diecast and there are a number on Ebay at less than $30 currently.
Here is a Hatchette Montego and my conversion to an estate.
And the related Austin Maistro saloon (Hastings Classics) and van (Promod Kit) both white metal items.

I was intrigued enough to order a sedan and an estate. The Clove Brown sedan has arrived, and I am thrilled with it. A wonderfully done little model.

Since the Montego was badge engineered as an MG in various trim levels, surprised they did not pick that brand to replicate. Not a whole lot of difference, grill, badging etc.

@john-quilter I've asked Simon if this might be forthcoming, will let this group know what he says.
Here is what Simon had to say: "We are looking into making an MG Montego. Hopefully next year."
