Great looking models. I have the GLM closed limousine which is really nice as well.

These are excellent models too. Great colors, I've not seen the Limousine in that color before. I have a white and a black version, which are ho-hum, boring colors. The models are exceptional. The Parade Car was on my wants list; I had kind of forgotten about it. I'll need to renew my list.

@jcarnutz It’s on my list, too! I’ve been the runner up bidder a couple times but have yet to close the deal.

Three of these 1952 Parade Cars were built by Chrysler. They were intended for New York City, Los Angeles and one for the White House but was refused based on gift laws at the time. It was then kept in Detroit for use throughout the country.

In 1955, the cars were updated with 1956 Imperial front and rear clips, bumpers and trim.  The engine was improved and fully automatic transmissions were installed.

New York City and Los Angeles retain their cars (both registered as police vehicles) for Parade duty. The Detroit car was sold to the Peterson Museum in LA, and can be seen as a part of “The Vault” tour (extra admission). Most everything down there has been on display upstairs at some point.
