Less than happy news for Patty (and others) from TSM
Some pre pro pictures of the Supernatural 68 Impala model have been posted at Scale 143.

Not their best work even to my untrained eye.
Is someone getting in early with their April Fool joke?
That looks like something done by Sabra back in the late 60s, or maybe one of the rougher deAgostini James Bond efforts. The rear roofline looks wrong, the Coke bottle waistline looks hugely exaggerated and the whole body give the impression of having gone slightly banana-shaped (like the famous FM Edsel). To say nothing of the brightwork - particularly at the rear - which looks like a heavy-handed attempt at Bare Metal Foil-ing (of course, on a pre-production mock-up, maybe that's exactly what it is).
I have a couple of beautiful TS Rolls-Royces and having seen some of their other stuff as well, I wouldn't have thought them capable of producing anything where the basics look so wrong.
It's not a car I'm desperate for a model of anyway, but I feel sorry for those who have been eagerly waiting for it!

Although I hesitate to judge a model by a few hastily taken pics
I must admit I have reservations about this one. Still, we have learned our lessons about pre-production NEOs. Perhaps there is still hope for this one.

Agreed. However ...
we are not talking about a rough paint job or slightly misaligned trim. The basic shape looks wrong in various ways. But maybe they will have a go at straightening out the mould with a blowtorch and a sledgehammer and it will come out quite different and totally, seductively gorgeous.
But then it is a beautiful Spring day here in London, 21 degrees (that's 70?, folks) and sunny, so maybe I am simply being swept away on a tide of optimism about everything turning out all right in the end. Zippity Doo Dah ...

A bigger question may be: why a 4-door?
Harvey is right again, indeed why a 4 dr and not a SUPER SPORT !
Model is a repro of the Impala from TV show called Supernatural....
....they use that four door.
